A Paediatrician is a specialist medical doctor that has undergone extensive training in the diagnosis and management of diseases in children – from the moment of birth to sixteen years of life. The first sixteen years is period of progressively changing physical, emotional and maturational development. A Paediatrician is uniquely placed to understand the impact of illness in children at this stage of their life and is able to support the child, guide the parents and in partnership with all the important carers, manage the illness to a prompt and successful resolution.

General medical assessment and management of all children aged 0-16 years old.
Specialist neonatal assessment and management of all newborn babies aged 0-28 days including babies born prematurely.
Specialist dietetic assessment and management of all children aged 0-16 years old.
